Jessica Palmer provides therapy to adults and couples. Her approach is primarily Emotion-Focused, integrating additional therapeutic approaches as appropriate, including Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Her work is collaborative and client-centered, grounded in evidence-based practice.

Jessica is a registered psychologist with several years of experience providing services for children, adolescents, and adults. Jessica received her M.A. in Clinical Psychology from the University of North Carolina – Wilmington in 2001, and she is presently a student in the Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) program at Adler Graduate Professional School. Her previous experiences include a variety of hospital, community mental health, private practice and correctional settings. Jessica also has several years of experience conducting psychological assessments for treatment planning and educational purposes.

As part of her doctoral training, Jessica is currently completing a practicum placement at New Leaf Psychology Centre, where her focus is on Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) with adults and couples. This placement allows her to deepen her skills in this treatment modality, under the supervision of Dr. Van Blyderveen and Dr. Smoliak.
