Jeffrey provides therapy for youth and adults, with an interest in helping people who are facing challenges during difficult life changes, such as transitioning to post-secondary education, entering adulthood, and becoming parents. Jeffrey is also experienced in supporting those with eating disorders and his dissertation focuses on understanding the needs of caregivers raising a child with an eating disorder. Jeffrey tailors his approach to each client’s needs, drawing on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT).
Jeffrey also provides Career Counselling services, which includes supporting client’s returning to, maintaining, and finding meaningful employment. These services include assessments of work interests, strengths and values, career coaching and goal setting to enhance work related performance. Given his training as an Occupational Therapist, Jeffrey also has considerable experience supporting clients adjusting to the impact of physical injuries.
Jeffrey completed his occupational therapy training at McMaster University and is currently registered with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario. Jeffrey is a third-year psychology doctoral student at Fielding Graduate University. He has previous experience working at the Homewood Health Eating Disorders and Integrated Mood and Anxiety Programs, the Cambridge Memorial Psychiatric In-Patient and Day Hospital Programs, and the Peel District School Board.
