Nethan Kulathilagan
Nethan Kulathilagan, B.A.Sc.
Psychometrist
Mr. Kulathilagan assists clinical psychologists in the administration of psychological, developmental, cognitive, psychoeducational and giftedness assessments. Mr. Kulathilagan works with clients, families, and schools to better understand his clients’ learning profiles, and to find ways to support them in their personal and academic lives. He understands the importance of ensuring his clients’ comfort with the assessment process, including their being fully informed of the scope of the assessment and his accommodating their needs.
Mr. Kulathilagan completed a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Community Social Services at the University of Guelph. He also completed a Social Service Worker diploma at Humber College. During his training, he has completed placements as a teaching assistant for students with developmental disorders (including ASD) and a teaching assistant for students with behavioural concerns.

Aziza Islam
Aziza Islam, M.T.
Educational Consultant
Ms. Islam provides Executive Functioning and Educational Skills Coaching services for children, youth, and adults, specializing in working with individuals with ADD and ADHD. Depending on her client’s needs, Ms. Islam provides strategies to build and strengthen executive functioning skills and tools to cope with the daily stresses of life. She also offers academic support in all subjects. She believes in using strength-based teaching and growth mindset to help her clients reach their full potential socially, academically and in professional settings. Ms. Islam emphasizes social-emotional learning and believes in individualized solutions that are practiced with patience and consistency, which are key to progress. Ms. Islam also incorporates mindfulness techniques in her practice to help her clients improve their self-awareness, emotion regulation, behaviour and anxiety management. In providing these services, it is Ms. Islam’s goal is to create an inclusive, safe space for her clients to learn and grow.
Ms. Islam completed her Master’s in Teaching at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) at the University of Toronto. She is a member in good standing of the Ontario College of Teachers. Ms. Islam has previously worked as a Learning Specialist in an independent school setting supporting students with learning challenges.

Sukhman Ghoman

Ms. Ghoman assists clinical psychologists in the administration of psychological, developmental, cognitive, psychoeducational and giftedness assessments. Ms. Ghoman works with clients, families, and schools to better understand her clients’ learning profiles, and to find ways to support them in their personal and academic lives.
Ms. Ghoman completed her Bachelor of Science degree at McMaster University and has over five years of clinical experience in private practice and school settings. She has clinical experience providing assessments for children, adolescents, and adults.

Belal Zia
Belal Zia, M.A.
Therapist
Mr. Zia is a therapist who works with adults and adolescents using an integrated style built on trust, empathy, and understanding. Utilizing empirically supported treatments, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Humanistic Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Mr. Zia works collaboratively with clients to meet their unique treatment needs and preferences. Mr. Zia is also available to provide psychoeducational and diagnostic assessments with adults and adolescents.
Mr. Zia is currently working toward completion of his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the University of Manitoba where he completed his M.A. He is also a research intern in Stanford University’s School of Medicine. He completed his undergraduate degree at Western University in London, ON. Mr. Zia is a Canada-Vanier Scholar whose streams of research include 1) improving access to treatment for ethnic and religious minority patients, 2) aging and mental health, and 3) suicide prevention and intervention. Mr. Zia has clinical experience with psychological assessment and in treating various mental health concerns including mood and anxiety disorders, personality disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), panic disorders, and suicide. Mr. Zia is also able to offer treatment for issues related to identity/ diversity. Mr. Zia’s previous experience includes work in community mental health and private practice settings.

Anne-Marie Muller

Ms. Muller assists clinical psychologists in the administration of psychological, developmental, cognitive, psychoeducational and giftedness assessments. Ms. Muller works with clients, families, and schools to understand not only client challenges but also their strengths, providing results and recommendations to further individual growth.
Ms. Muller has completed her M.Sc. in Clinical Psychology at Western University. She has research and clinical experience providing assessments for children, adolescents, and adults, including those diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder.

Lindsay Bryant
Lindsay Bryant, M.A.
Therapist
Ms. Lindsay Bryant is a child and adolescent therapist who adopts an integrative therapeutic approach when working with families, incorporating a variety of modalities to match the needs and preferences of her clients. She has experience with Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Mindfulness Based Therapy, Play Therapy and other psychodynamic (relational) approaches. Ms. Bryant currently co-facilitates the adolescent and parent DBT skills groups. Ms. Bryant also assists clinical psychologists in the administration of developmental, psychoeducational, and social-emotional assessments.
Ms. Bryant is currently working towards the completion of her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the University of Guelph, where she also completed her Master’s degree. Her research primarily focuses on child development, unintentional injury risk/prevention, parental supervision and mental health. Ms. Bryant’s previous experiences include a variety of school, community mental health, and private practice settings.

Jessie Heaman

Ms. Jessie Heaman is a child and adolescent therapist who works from a variety of therapeutic modalities to provide support that is collaborative and tailored to each individual’s needs and developmental stage. Depending on the needs of her clients, Ms. Heaman integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Emotion-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Play therapy in her approach.
Ms. Heaman also assists clinical psychologists in the administration of developmental, psychoeducational, and giftedness assessments. In assessments, Ms. Heaman works with clients, families, and schools to understand not only client challenges but also their strengths, and provide results and recommendations to further individual growth.
Ms. Heaman is currently working towards the completion of her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the University of Guelph, where she also completed her master’s degree. Her research focuses primarily on positive psychology education in schools, growth mindset, resilience, and adolescent mental health. She has extensive experience in psychoeducational and psychological assessment, as well as training in the treatment of children, adolescents, and families who are experiencing a variety of difficulties. Ms. Heaman’s previous experience includes a variety of school, community mental health, and private practice settings.

Dr. Olga Smoliak

Dr. Smoliak provides counselling and psychotherapy to individual adults, couples, and families. What distinguishes her as a professional is a blend of training and experience in relational dynamics and individual mental health difficulties. As a researcher and clinician, she offers up-to-date knowledge of individual and couples distress using empirically supported and effective interventions. She primarily uses emotionally-focused therapy in her work with couples and draws on a range of approaches in working with individuals.
Dr. Smoliak received her Ph.D. in Counselling Psychology from the University of Calgary and is currently an Associate Professor of Couple and Family Therapy at the University of Guelph. In addition to being registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario, Dr. Smoliak is a Registered Marriage and Family Therapist (and Approved Supervisor), as well as a Canadian Certified Counsellor. Dr. Smoliak co-edited two books and authored more than 50 journal articles on the topic of psychotherapy and counselling, including the Handbook of Counselling and Psychotherapy in Canada. In addition to her scholarly and educational contributions to the field, she brings 17+ years of professional experience in psychotherapy.

Amanda Cox

Ms. Amanda Cox is a child and adolescent therapist who works from a variety of therapeutic modalities depending on the needs of her clients. She has experience with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness Based Therapy, Play Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and elements of Parent and Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT). Ms. Cox also facilitates child and adolescent DBT skills groups.
Additionally, Ms. Cox assists clinical psychologists in the administration of developmental, psychoeducational, and giftedness assessments. Her approach to psychological assessment emphasizes collaboration among families, schools and community supports, in order to ensure the results and recommendations help children to reach their full potential.
Ms. Cox is currently working towards the completion of her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the University of Guelph, where she also completed her Master’s and Undergraduate degrees. Her research involvement focuses primarily on parent and child relationships, as well as adolescent mental health, well-being, and resilience. Ms. Cox’s previous clinical experience includes a variety of school, rehabilitation, and private practice settings. She will be continuing training in Emotion Focused Therapy and Narrative Therapy.

Nadia Prando
Ms. Prando is an adolescent, adult, family and couple’s therapist. Depending on the needs of her clients, Ms. Prando makes use of Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) approaches. She provides Emotion-Focused Couple Therapy (EFT) and Emotion-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT) to support couples and families in improving their communication and connection with one another. Ms. Prando also facilitates Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) groups. Ms. Prando completed her M.A. in clinical Psychology at the Pontifical University Catholic of São Paulo in Brazil. She has extensive training in parent-infant attachment and pregnancy related mental health and well-being.
