Ms. Lisa Do Couto is a child and family therapist. She provides Emotion-Focused Couple Therapy (EFT) and Emotion-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT) to support couples and families in improving their communication and connection with one another. Ms. Do Couto also assists clinical psychologists in the administration of developmental, psychoeducational, and giftedness assessments. She also provides co-therapy (therapy with two therapists) for children who have experienced trauma and for children and their parents to enhance attachment between parent and child (attachment-based play therapy).

 Ms. Do Couto is currently working towards the completion of her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the University of Guelph, where she also completed her master’s degree. She has extensive training in psychoeducational and psychological assessment, the treatment of children and adolescents who are experiencing a variety of difficulties, and families and couples in distress. Ms. Do Couto’s previous experience includes a variety of school, hospital, and private practice settings.
