Ms. Toombs provides dietetic and nutritional consultation to individuals across the lifespan. She has extensive experience working with both children and adults who are selective eaters (picky eaters) or are struggling with eating disorders such as anorexia, bulimia and binge eating. Ms. Toombs has also supported women who are pregnant or breastfeeding. In addition, Ms. Toombs provides consultation to individuals managing high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes and cancer. Ms. Toombs has received training in the provision of personalized nutritional assessments based on genetic (DNA) testing using saliva (Nutrigenomix).

Ms. Toombs, R.D., received a bachelor of applied science in nutrition at Ryerson University. She completed her dietetic internship at Hamilton Health Sciences. Ingrid is registered with the College of Dietitians of Ontario and is a member of Dietitians of Canada. Along with her part-time private practice, Ingrid is currently a staff dietitian with the Cardiac Rehabilitation and Diabetes Programs at Halton Healthcare Services. Her previous experiences include hospital, mental health, and nursing home settings, including over ten years with a pediatric eating disorders program.
