Dr. Kim Saliba

Therapist

Kim Saliba provides individual and group therapy for children, youth, and adults. She has received training in a variety of evidence-based psychotherapy approaches, most extensively in Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) (including relaxation, imagery, and mindfulness), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and psychoanalytic therapy (‘talk therapy’). She has experience providing therapy to diverse clientele, with particular experience in treating adolescents and adults struggling with depression, self-harm, interpersonal difficulties, emotion dysregulation and impulsive behaviours. She also facilitates the adolescent DBT group offered at New Leaf Psychology Centre. Lastly, she also provides psychoeducational assessments for children, youth, and adults.

Dr. Saliba has earned her Ph.D. in the School and Clinical Child Psychology program from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE). She has trained at the Hospital for Sick Children, the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, and Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences. Along her work at the practice, she is currently working as a mental health secondary support consultant at the Upper Grand District School Board. Dr. Saliba’s previous experiences include a variety of school, hospital, community mental health, and private practice settings.
