Alyssa Durbin, M.Psy.


Ms. Alyssa Durbin is an adult and couples’ therapist. Depending on the needs of her clients, Ms. Durbin makes use of Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) approaches. She provides Emotion-Focused Couples Therapy (EFT) when working with couples to support couples in improving their communication and connection with one another. Ms. Durbin also facilitates DBT skills groups and assists clinical psychologists in the administration of clinical development, psychoeducational, and giftedness assessments.

 Ms. Durbin has completed her M.A. in Clinical and Counselling Psychology at the Adler Graduate Professional School in Toronto. She has extensive training in experiential therapies, trauma, self-compassion, personal growth and development, establishing social meaning, and eating disorders. Ms. Durbin has also received training in Emotion-Focused Couples Therapy (EFT). Ms. Durbin’s previous experience includes a variety of counselling, residential, hospital, and private practice settings.
